- rolph 5y ago8.7% of unvaccinated adults with a prior infection at least 3 months before tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 again, as compared to 5.1% of the fully vaccinated patients without a prior history of infection, for an adjusted odds ratio (OR) of 5.49 (95% CI 2.75-10.99) ========================================================== there is a 3.6% greater rate of hospitalization with positive test results among the prior infection cohort this was then adjusted for skewing due to data collection parameters, then expressed as odds ratio, thus the statement prior infections > 5 times as likely to be hospitalized. this article then goes to say that prior infection wont protect you. we are all intelligent people here, the numbers and the methods used to generate those numbers are an indicator of the quality of this study.
