Good news, it’s the year 2021 and computers are so fast that you could probably bit bang a 56k modem connection using a python script on a raspberry pi
- snvzz 5y agoDSP on the cpu would definitely suffice today (albeit undersirable). But it would still need some analog hardware to interface the phone line. Ultimately, I'd like the old device I liked to watch the leds blink on to be back alive again, preferably without replacing the whole PCB.
