There is an enormous amount of evolutionary pressure on sars-cov-2 now. By vaccinating everyone, not just the vulnerable, are we unnecessarily increasing the the mutation rate and thus creating strains that won't be preventable with vaccines?
- angelzen 5y agoLikely. The election cycle is 2/4 years, financial results are issued quarterly and stock grants vest over 4 years. Since we abandoned the notion of a "nation" that transcends the individual short term horizon, there are zero incentives left to address long term concerns.
