Well, Facebook sure sent a strong signal of being committed to an AR/VR vision. We can't say they don't have a corporate direction. Would it work? I suspect that it's too early for the tech. Haven't seen much yet in the way of compelling apps - and first mover advantage isn't what it used to be.
