Currently, my thinking is: * Facebook is an awful company that is damaging for our democracy and communities in a lot of ways. There are some positive aspects to their services, though. * I don't think they have quite the staying power of a Microsoft, which is deeply embedded in business. * I am not against various government actions that would harm or curtail their business, but I want to see them discussed in a reasoned, thoughtful way, rather than just 'FACEBOOK BAD, HURT THEM!'.

What new powers should we give the government and how do we make sure that it's not abused later when the person you don't like is in charge?

  I don't know that they need any new powers, depending on what's being proposed.
