Ask HN: What roles can you pursue besides web development?
Hello HN,
I’m stuck in between choosing roles and having a hard time in figuring out where should I specialized
Long story short what other roles can I pursue besides web development
- giantg2 5y agoA cabin the woods sounds pretty good right now. I'm 10 years in and have yet to specialize. I would say specialize I'm whatever is interesting that you think has a future. There's web, backend/services, data engineering, ML/AI, and security to name a few.

- mattbillenstein 5y agoSpecialization may be bad if you're working in small startups - they need people who are jack of all trades in the early going. I'd generally follow your interests, work on things you're curious about, the rest will work itself out.
