How to mask mailing address when sending or receiving packages
- throwaway27727 5y ago> This will then allow for shipment of your package(s) through our network, directly to you There are surely some crucial details missing here. What is this network?
- adamfeldman 5y agoI can imagine they’re using UPS Delivery Intercept, or another similar capability for redirecting in-transit packages within the carrier network. Perhaps they automatically apply the intercept after the initial dropoff by the sender. https://www.ups.com/us/en/help-center/tracking-support/delivery-intercept.page https://www.ups.com/us/en/help-center/tracking-support/deliv...
- neoterra 5y agoI doubt it, I’ve used intercept before it was expensive. Almost 20 bucks
- adamfeldman 5y agoIf they're doing intercepts on every package they're (hopefully for their sake!) using a negotiated rate. It would be a very non-standard use of intercept regardless. Even at $20, still cheaper than receiving and reshipping (labor + postage).
- thesecretceo 5y agoAhhh makes sense…. Seems like an interesting project
- maltalex 5y agoCan anyone suggest a legal use case for such a service?
- techystuff2003 5y agoAre you thinking that, there isn't a reason for people to do this unless it is for illegal purposes? I can think of plenty of good use cases like buying something from ebay from some skecthy seller ...lol
- landemva 5y ago' legal use case ' It is freedom to do what you want, while not harming anyone. It does not need to be legalized. It is typically done for privacy reasons.
