Ask HN: What is the life status on WPF?

I found WPF to be an excellent framework/layout engine for MVC development. MVVM is a nice thought out scheme centered around the platform. It’s mature and intuitive to make smart, good looking apps. Unfortunately, not much is heard these days presumably with the adoption of embedded layout engines like Electron and thriving frameworks like React, Angular, Vue etc. I know “dead” is an arguable word in tech, so instead I ask, how are things for WPF, and what does its future look like?
