Is MFC still a thing?

  Surely, as strange as it might seem, its Visual Studio tooling is way better than C++/WinRT will allow for in 2021, including having to do anything COM related. The current Windows C++ folks either push for bare bones Win32 with C++, using WIL, or C++/WinRT writing IDL files with a Notepad like experience. In this context MFC is way more productive.
