Septa rape case is latest in a U.S. pandemic of police lying
- db48x 5y agoNot a very good article, under the circumstances. Yea, the police lie, but at least have the decency to quote real examples of it.
- WalterGR 5y agoReal examples are given throughout the article.
- s1artibartfast 5y agoSo the shocker for the titular case was that only two of the passengers were actively filming the rape, and not more?
- WalterGR 5y agoTFA links to https://www.inquirer.com/news/septa-train-rape-passengers-video-20211021.html https://www.inquirer.com/news/septa-train-rape-passengers-vi... which answers your question in depth.
- s1artibartfast 5y agoI guess it comes down to how much you really want to split hairs regarding the DAs comments. >Delaware County district attorney said Thursday that it was “simply not true” that several SEPTA passengers last week took cellphone videos of a man raping a woman on the train instead of deciding to intervene or call police.” >At the same news conference, however, the district attorney also revealed that prosecutors are in possession of a new video that was, in fact, shot by a passenger.
- WalterGR 5y agoAnd somebody yelled at the assailant, etc. I'm not going to reproduce the Philadelphia Inquirer article here.
