Web3 versus Web2
- PaulHoule 5y agoHow is it that these people didn't notice that the semantic Web was supposed to be Web 3.0?
- gz5 5y agoFred paints this picture: web1 - come for the content - then usually leave web2 - come for the tools, stay for the content (Chris Dixon) web3 - come for the assets, stay for the experience (Fred Wilson) That in of itself is interesting. Fred also couples web3 w/ decentralization. Many said the same for web2 and that didn't really happen, as some of the tweets in that thread state. Perhaps the decentralization toolset of web3 is the most interesting (or at least noticeable) part of web3, but is it a foregone conclusion that the availability of the tools will drive the behavior?
