Intel Shares Alder Lake Pricing, Specs and Gaming Performance: $589 for 16 Cores
- rektide 5y agoAMD hasn't done much to lower prices since Ryzen was announced February 2017. And their down-market chips seem to be kind of vanishing, becoming unavailable. Anytime a great competitor starts hiking upmarket, I tend to get very sad. So it's great to see Intel showing up & getting back in the game. This looks like a good value. Congrats on shipping your post 14nm chips! Alas it's not all sun & roses: this is an 8-performance cores + 8-little cores chip. That's still a good amount of oomph. But it's also going to be a bit tricky to use well, I'd guess.
