I don't think it progresses the conversation to refer to cogs in the wheel as sociopaths, as if they, as individuals, have any ability to alter the behavior of the company they work for. What is the most compelling argument that individuals are ethically or morally bound to something other than a transactional relationship with their employer?
- rStar 5y agoi’m talking about being an actual sociopath. please take my words with my meaning, and you can feel free to express yours as tou have done.
- rStar 5y agowell, the cogs aren’t cogs they are rational actors and they are responsible for their actions. but hey, at least they don’t have a desk an office a door or a moment to themselves outside a stall in the bathroom.
- boring_twenties 5y agoThey have an ability to not work there in the first place? If my employer were the North Korean government, would I get a pass because my relationship with them is merely "transactional?"
