How AirTags are being used to find stolen property
- h2odragon 5y agoFinding your stolen shit has been possible before; is there going to be any further reason for the police to care when you do? Way, way back when; I had an acquaintance who fenced stolen electronics. He often sold things back to the people whose "Property of" tags appeared on things. I never heard of the police troubling him.
- justin66 5y agoCars are a special case. Grand theft auto is a felony and if you can tell the police, to whom you've already reported your car's theft, where your car is sitting, they're bound to take an interest. Your other stuff, yeah, in general they couldn't care less.
