Institutions striving for equity within a white supremacist framework does not mean that the framework is not white supremacist. It means, instead, that institutions have recognized the imbalance and are doing a small part to correct it. Additionally, the Jim Crow south is just one of many flavors of white supremacism, and just because we don't have Jim Crow laws now doesn't mean that the problem has gone away. (editing bc apparently this is poorly worded sarcasm?)
