I came here to say this, but you said it better/fuller than I could have. I have been working fully remote for just over 7 years. One of the people I work with was a friend before I started working with him, so that relationship hasn't changed. But I don't look to my coworkers for the socialization that comes from friends/family/church. It comes from those places specifically outside of work.
