- lvl100 5y agoIt’s at best $500-600K during lifetime. Even if we are saying it’s $1M, the cost of college at $200-400K would make it absolutely not worth it. But the real reason is this: there’s nothing you can’t learn outside of these institutions for 99.999% of the population. General knowledge is effectively free. So why pay this exorbitant amount of money? Who really benefits?
