I'm almost embarrassed at how fast I can get things done with Rails. It's so easy and it just flippin works. I devote time to keeping up to date with alternatives, but the costs of switching are high, and the ROI just isn't ever there. (I work at a university these days, where our problems are different than when I worked at a startup, but speed of development and the relative stability of the platform are always important no matter what you're doing)
