I dont think this title "The Strange New Trend That’s Enraging Hiring Managers" is appropriate, it's basically "one weird trick, managers hate him". It must be possible for the title to give some information about what the article is about
- pinewurst 5y agoIt's classic clickbait - not attempting to be appropriately descriptive.
- tekdude 5y agoI know HN has a rule about using the original as-published title, but I've edited the submission to use a tweaked version of the article's alt-title(?) that's shown in the tab bar. Admins can change it back if necessary The original (and vague) submitted title: "The Strange New Trend That’s Enraging Hiring Managers"
- dredmorbius 5y agoEmail HN mods at hn@ycombinator.com. They're quite responsive to such requests, if made when relevant (e.g., not two days after posting). Mods aren't automatically alerted to in-thread whinges or even mentions by name.
