Right now that would also likely require a 12v rail, which this board's power circuit doesn't supply (it wouldn't be able to pull that much anyways, off the 3A

Right now that would also likely require a 12v rail, which this board's power circuit doesn't supply (it wouldn't be able to pull that much anyways, off the 3A max PSU).
A future version should include it though, and would accommodate larger drives (both 2.5 and 3.5").
