I've always loved rockchip SoCs, and a smartphone getting mainline support is definitely something I want. So I've been very happy seeing the announcement of Pinephone Pro, and I've asked for pre-order.
One thing that will probably make me stand out to the other users though is that I want to use (well, probably make) Android on it. I think Android is a much better smartphone OS than GNU/Linux distribution, without too much compromise (the biggest compromise being that Google leads the software roadmap), and having a fully functional opensource software and mainline is already a feat in itself, and could be very interesting wrt long term support.
