I would like to see a better model for funding FLOSS development. Maybe efficient cryptocurrency microtransactions or something like that. Every time I hit your repo I pay you $0.001, or every time I run your package I pay you the same. Voluntarily, of course. I want to do this now, and I do have recurring donations for some projects, but it could be frictionless and automatic.
