Nobody can bully you any place off the internet. You're the one who has to care so much that other people disagree with you and hurl insults, that you leave a place. There's all kinds of people in this world. So long as your worldview doesn't involve genuine malicious intent, who can crucify you? I hold some unpopular opinions and expressing them has gotten me insulted and dogpiled-on, on more than one occasion. That's other people's problem. If you know that you're a good person, and your personal philosophy stems from this, you've no need to give in to mob demands or go back on your public sentiments. Let them scream all they want, never compromise your integrity or moral standards, and never back down. This is how they get the idea you can shout people into backing down in the first place. Disclaimer: I have no side in the discussion mentioned. This is just on ethical grounds.

  Yes, I've had a man hate my mother so much he cyber stalked her, found pictures of one of my younger prepubescent sisters, and sent her daily messages about all the disgusting things he'd do to her along with pictures of her. But my mother isn't a damsel in distress who runs away when people try to act stupid. She called him pathetic, asked a favor from a friend who doxxed him, reported him to the police, and continued on about her day and posting on the internet. It's the internet. Turn it off if you don't like what you see. "And this is why I carry a firearm" says my mother. The internet is fake and if someone physically stalks + attacks you, just shoot and kill them. You're sort of asking for it. I really don't have a lot of empathy for people telling sob stories about the internet being mean to them. You could be being brutally raped , tortured, slowly mutilated in some third world shithole. You ever see Narcos videos of what some of the cartel members do to torture people, or the absolutely FUCKED ways they invent to slowly and painfully kill you?
