Safari browser runs the risk of becoming the new Internet Explorer
- DerekBickerton 5y agoUmm, Safari helps me blend in. Using some not-so-popular browser with a unique useragent makes me stand out. So what if it may lag behind in features; it's an excellent privacy tool.
- rsj_hn 5y agoYup. Browser features have reached the point of diminishing returns for me some time ago.
- amerine 5y agoI think this author is misremembering how “Microsoft lost” when it came to the original IE and are trying to draw some false equivalency between Microsoft’s attempts to control the web and Apple not implementing w3c APIs created by Google with questionable usefulness for non-ChromeOS situations. Tell ya what, I’ll continue using Safari or Firefox while Google is an advertising company, because frankly it’s concerning to me that we give so much power to Google already.
- quitit 5y agoah yes… the way apple is using safari to implement unique features to abuse its position while also deliberately breaking standards. /s
