Mark a condition as unpredictable, a branch as likely, a loop as likely to be long, etc.
Some of it exists as intrinsics but this is not accessible in stable rust.
- saagarjha 5y agoC++ has slowly added some of these for branches, perhaps we will see compiler extensions for loops and such as well. I am sure Rust will probably get some of these at some point too.
- CryZe 5y agoOne thing that is stable is marking a function as cold which usually has the effect of marking the calling basic block as unlikely.
