Windows without any decent casing look terrible especially with viynl siding. That's a reason to add shutters since it breaks up the visual ugliness.

- wruza 5y agoCame to this thread to say the same. It’s just a design element that was coincidentally successful when it had real function. Window frames without decoration look like technological holes, and default coloring (cheap white frame contrasting with the wall material) doesn’t help either.
