What's your viewpoint on thehackernews.com?

  It irritates me. It's clear that some people confuse it with HN and that sucks. There's even an example in this thread. YC owns Hacker News as a registered trademark. I don't know if that means we could do something about it. Assuming we could, I don't know if that means we should.

    That's kind of the point of a trademark, and you'll want to talk to an IP lawyer about it. It's important to distinguish the three vastly different types, but trademarks are the one that requires you enforce it, or lose it. (I'm not a lawyer.)
