I had heard that film was, in the early years of color photography, biased to correctly capture the skin tones of its inventors. But I was not aware any smartphone cameras suffered the same bias. Does anyone have a source for this? Google didn't bother with one, apparently thinking simply bringing up the possibility is enough:
