I never used Magit, I have been using SmartGit for years now and I see the great benefits of git GUIs. Checking logs, checking and merging changes, searching for files and commits… all this is much easier to do with a GUI. Of course, for complicated stuff one should still know the cli commands, but 99% of the time the GUI is what makes me more efficient and faster.
