For all I care, a CEO can get whatever, if it's from the funds they raised, exclusively. Just not my donations or revenue directly from the product other people made. A "vision" or "leadership" isn't worth that much. Maybe connections are. Basically get payed for the stuff they exclusively enable. Maybe that's even what's happening here. I agree, it's probably not the main issue at hand considering the overall financial situation.
