It's damn near perfect. Finally there's a Dune movie the book's fans can be proud of. The casting is perfect. The acting is great. The sets are great. The photography, editing, and direction are great. The pacing is not rushed--but then the movie is only half the book, which IMO was a good choice. The CGI is understated and doesn't draw attention to itself. One thing really stands out: The score. Hans Zimmer has built some fantastic movie scores, but he really knocked this one out of the park. I want to rewatch this movie just to listen to it again. This movie was created by a team that loves the book and it shows.
