Look, I hate Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates as much as the next guy, especially so due to my politics, but the comparison between these guys and monarchies / dictatorships is misplaced. Bezos, Zuckerberg, and Gates have all done _something_ to earn their money, whereas monarchies and dictatorships empower their rulers purely through shows of physical and governmental strength. Like him or hate him, Bezos is not the ruler of this country, and has not obviously broken any law -- that we obviously know of of course. There's a big difference IMO between earned wealth that makes you disproportionately richer, and unearned dynastic wealth. Almost every study on dynastic wealth in America shows that... no matter government policy.. it evaporates by the third of fourth generation. That's fine.
