- AndrewBissell 5y agoThey've put $2 billion into their settlement fund, or $50,000 per claimant. A strong deterrent against similar misbehavior in the future!
- NullPrefix 5y ago$50k for a baby cancer doesn't sound like a strong deterrent.
- adminscoffee 5y agobut they redeemed themselves by creating a vaccine!! /s edit: which by the way, they have zero legal liability for that. so no more baby cancer payouts with that one
- AndrewBissell 5y agoSorry, in retrospect the sarcasm in my comment isn't apparent enough.
- missedthecue 5y agoNo they're paying billions
- HappySweeney 5y agoAre they getting away without paying even more billions due to this scheme? This all seems like a great way to whip up a torch & pitchfork wielding mob, even if this is just some legit accounting exercise.
- adminscoffee 5y agothe rest of society that is still able to think straight will whip out the pitchforks, the other half has the memory of a goldfish
