If you have read Robert Anton Wilson, you're likely familiar with his idea of E Prime, which is essentially English without the identity form of "is". It's a mind bending notion to integrate. A lot of E Prime came from Science and Sanity.
An example is that saying "the book is blue" describes not a property of the book, but rather the interaction between my senses and the book, and a more "sane" way to say what is probably meant is "the book looks blue to me" so that the statement includes me and my senses in the interaction.
