The fear of looking stupid cripples me in just about everything I do. Work, both professionally and personal projects, competitive videogames, even playing piano or guitar. Maybe I can take a hint from this post and embrace it rather than avoiding it. I think this post might be triggering a lot of people who feel it might be criticizing them. It takes a lot of emotional energy to _look_ stupid in front of people, in ways that I would guess most people here (including myself) don't.
