I worked for Cygnus (acquired by Red Hat (acquired by IBM)), who was contracted for the GNU toolchain for the PS2 (and simulator). I wasn't working on the toolchain code itself, but worked with our hackers to scope the work, wrote SOWs and negotiated with Sony. I loved that period of time, as I got to travel to Japan a lot (for SONY and our other Japanese customers), and I loved the people, culture and food there. Also, that's when I grew an appreciation for masking up when sick!
