Ah yes, the hidden wisdom of Bash. Avoid floats at all cost ;) Practically, I find myself typing `irb` before every quick arithmetic session anyway... but w/e.

Practically, I find myself typing `irb` before every quick arithmetic session anyway... but w/e.
- dyingkneepad 5y agoOr pipe everything to bc -l, then print the result with /usr/bin/printf

- nixpulvis 5y agoTIL: bc has a (poorly labeled) -l flag which also sets the scale to 20 for you.
