Isn't Toyota investing heavily in battery tech? I thought they were farther along with solid-state batteries than anyone.
- ecpottinger 5y agoThey claim to be further along, but I have not seen the batteries tested by an outside organization. There is no information on the costs of the batteries, their weight or their lifespan. There is more to it than just saying they are solid state.
- skohan 5y agoI think the science is pretty clear that solid state batteries are the way forward if they can solve the dendrite problem. They should surpass LiIon in capacity, lifetime and safety if they can solve this issue.
