Back in the day they kickstarted and promoted PayPal to Ebay vendors, now they are going to introduce "Buy with PayPal" to 400+ million Pinterest users. Protentional of ecommerce on Pinterest is huge. Pinterest is going head to head with Instagram on ecommerce. But the question is how worth is actually Pinterest. I don't think Pinterest is worth $45 billion[0] but if PayPal can afford it they must do it because it could be one of the most important acquisitions in the PayPal's history.

- ldng 5y agoThat would only work if Paypal transform Pinterest into a marketplace which Pinterest could have done earlier if it was that easy. I get the intent but it still feel like a lot of work with no guaranteed ROI.
