Spike in energy prices suggests that sharp changes are ahead
- ZeroGravitas 5y agoYou'd think someone so focused on limitations of fuel supply would be more excited by inexhaustible renewables. Maybe it's popped his doomer bubble.
- chiefalchemist 5y ago> As long as energy sources are inexpensive and readily available, an economy can grow and provide goods and services for an increasing number of citizens. Absolutely. And there are two other ways to think about energy: 1) As a weapon. The more powerful and able can handle swift increases or decreases. Anyone else suffers. 2) As supplement to the money supply. Is your prime at rock bottom? Then lower the cost of energy (e.g., increase fracking). That drop in energy cost effectively gooses the economy.
