Manager didn't have sympathy for him likely due to argument they had the previous day related to overworking – he was asking manager for getting more people to help as he complained it's physically impossible to do this job. His manager refused to help and he wanted to escalate it, he was supposed to talk to his manager's manager but didn't make it.
