Man, when can we get back to an executive class with a spine and common sense. Can't have free speech if only one self-appointed group dictates what can be said.

This is what worries me - it feels a lot like the Cultural Revolution in slow motion (although arguably that too took place in slow motion). Any ideas outside the one approved idea set are treated as heretical. And those who espouse such views are not worthy of visibility or acceptance or power. Isn’t this exactly what authoritarian societies demand? Why is it excusable or normalized when authoritarianism is decentralized or implemented via powerful private organizations.
- mempko 5y agoWhat are you talking about? Chappell expressed an idea that was mainstream only a couple years ago. Nothing he is saying is new , or 'truth'. He is just an old man expressing old ideas
