Really surprised to hear this. I've had really bad luck with face unlock. I find I have to type in my PIN half the time anyway. On the other hand, with my previous pixel that had a fingerprint reader, I never had any issues with it whatsoever. I think face unlock is a bit of a regression on the part of device makers.
- krzyk 5y agoI have dry hands and fingeprint sensors stop recognizing them aftere about a week (or month if it is summer season) - so it is really frustrating. On the other hand Face Unlock works always (well, unless I wear a mask, then it works just like fingeprint - doesn't). Tried fingeprint sensors on iOS devices and Pixels.
