Yes but no. Patents also make it somewhat possible to challenge FAANG et al, if you come up with a novel idea.
- dTal 5y agoI don't agree. Patents constitute a serious moat for FAANG et al - sometimes because they can afford to license the silly patents, sometimes because they themselves hold the silly patents (like Amazon's patent on one-click buying).
