I wouldn’t say much of America has zero pre-existing conditions
- finite_jest 5y ago"Pre-existing condition" is a very vague term, but here's what I could find on that: - This Gallop survey [1] says about 27% percent of US adults self-identify as having a pre-existing condition. - This report by HHS [2] estimates that between 23 to 51% of the non-elderly (under 65 yo) population have a pre-existing condition depending on the definition. I think the percentage of the US population above 65 is about 17%. So even if we assume all of the elderly have a pre-existing condition then the range would be about 36 to 59% [3].
