- eesmith 5y agoThe General Research Terms and Conditions say "Any information provided to the Participant ... shall be kept confidential by the Participant. ... If the Participant breaches the confidential provisions of this Section 7, the Participant shall pay JetBrains a contractual penalty of USD 20,000". My reading of this survey says that if anyone copies&pastes one of the question ("information provided to the Participant") to HN then JetBrains may require them to pay a penalty. Did I misread that? Because I can't see why I would agree to that clause. Also, the Terms say that JetBrains may share "any feedback that the Participant has provided to JetBrains with its Affiliates outside the EU solely for purposes of carrying out the Research. For the purposes of this Agreement, Affiliates are companies controlled by, controlling, or under common control with JetBrains. However, I can't find where where the Terms allow JetBrains to share feedback (in any form) with the PSF or the public. Is my legalese comprehension that far out of whack today?
