- brudgers 5y agoThe article is fundamentally wrong about the human condition. The choice is not between bead and cake. The choice is between bread and hunger. More and more people can have nice things. Just not as nice as castles. Because fewer and fewer people have the not nice things that go with the slavery, conscription, and forced labor that they signify. When it comes to his house, Bill Gates can only get what people will do for money.
