Well it's the government that is prosecuting the person, it's just that the corporate-political oligarchy is for them, not you.
How do you expect the plebs to "push back"? You get bullied, threatened, branded a conspiracy theorist, their corporations censor you and publish lies about you. If you're a really big threat they get law enforcement and intelligence agencies to go after you, manufacture evidence, create charges, persecute you in their "secret courts".
They have six ways from Sunday at getting you.
- ddingus 5y agoTechnically yes, of course. But the government is acting as an agent for hire. Ugly. As for push back, indeed. Your point is well taken.
- throwawaylinux 5y ago> But the government is acting as an agent for hire. Ugly. I fail to see the "but". This is how the corporate-political cabal operates. They go to war for corporations, they assassinate leaders and sponsor genocidal uprisings. They do the same thing and worse to people like Assange who dare to lift the lid on any of their dealings. You think something as mundane as this is above them? What's surprising is that any of this is a surprise to anyone.
- ddingus 5y agoNope. It is not. (Need to edit but away. Won't, because your reply makes good sense.) That state of affairs may be old news to the majority of us now for all I know. And I don't.
