Ask HN: Article with title like “Don't code with broken window?”
There was an article posted to HN within the last 12 months or so I'm trying to remember. Unfortunately I didn't bookmark it so lost it.
The title or at least the article content was about the "broken window" theory applied to code. The website has a white background, with a red line at the top. The links at the top are also in red. Overall an aesthetic site.
I believe the articles author is Dutch with a name that starts with a Y.
Can't remember many other details. Hoping someone knows the one I mean.

- busbus 5y agoI can’t tell you what is that website, but the concept of broken window reminds me a book that talked about it: https://www.amazon.fr/Pragmatic-Programmer-Journeyman-Master/dp/020161622X https://www.amazon.fr/Pragmatic-Programmer-Journeyman-Master... (No affiliation)
- muzani 5y agoIt's Tip 5 (of the new version). Likely some article wrote about it to reflect the point.
- taxcoder 5y agoPerhaps <http://amortizedcost.net/theory-of-broken-windows-applied-to-the-code-base/ http://amortizedcost.net/theory-of-broken-windows-applied-to...>? Did you try searching "broken windows" rather than "broken window"?
