If the problem is insects flying against the turbine mast I wonder how many insects are ‘killed’ by a tree every year.
- wishawa 5y agoThey mention insect detritus impacting laminar airflow, so the collisions are at the blades.
- Arnt 5y ago"…40 million insects killed annually by a single wind turbine in Germany…" That's about 13 tons of biomass per blade, three times the weight of the blade itself. Why aren't they covered in black muck?
